I met him at a local gym one day. I helped him out over there a few times;lending him a hand with the weights. From the way he spoke, I knew he was an English teacher or at least a professional. I asked him his name and to my astonishment, he was actually my sister's English tuition teacher. (The name of the the teacher is kept confidential for privacy reasons). His about 60 years old and a retired English teacher of S.M.K. Methodist (A.C.S.) Sitiawan back in his days. He taught my current English teachers before! From what I heard from my sister he would use a ruler(a metal one probably) to hit his students knuckles for any English mistakes. That's gotta hurt! Here's a quote from this wise old English Teacher:
"I like teaching but I dislike correcting my students mistakes. I correct them but they repeatedly do them again. Well, that's life, we do mistakes, correct them and repeat them again."
If I remembered correctly that's what he said. I don't think that's exactly what he said but the message's there. Think about it and it really makes lots of sense. Many mistakes we humans do big or small are done once again. Maybe it's because of our lackadaisical and nonchalant attitude. That's human; an imperfect being.
