What's Up with 10/10/10?

It's been quite a while now since I've blogged. Well this time, I'm giving my opinion on this very date. Many newlyweds planned and proceeded with their wedding ceremony on 10/10/10 thinking it as an auspicious date. In contrast, my country's religious groups say that the date it really isn't auspicious at all. From my point of view, I consider this date A special date as it only occurs once every century. That goes the same for 1/1/1, 2/2/2, 3/3/3, 4/4/4, 5/5/5, 6/6/6, 7/7/7, 8/8/8, 9/9/9, 11/11/11 and 12/12/12 that occurs respectively with the year. But if you think in a different perspective which is that these dates occur in a row following an 88 years cycle, these dates would really special and a tad auspicious. Futhermore , in Chinese beliefs the number 8 symbolises
prosperity.

That's all for now. Gotta study for the exams. BB and happy 10/10/10.

UPDATE ON 21/10/2010
About the same topic, there's another date auspicious to couples which is 20/10/2010. See how the date says twenty ten twice? In my country more couples have their wedding dinner on this date instead than on 10/10/10.
I consider unique as this occurs 2 more times in the 2nd millennium which is 20/11/2011 and 20/12/2012. The next time this will happen is in the 3rd millennium. The world should commemorate these dates as it only occurs 12 times in a millennium. BB.
